EDR1RXD1 Replacement Water Filter · 6-Pack – ClearFit

$80.94

Fits Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Amana and JennAir refrigerators that use the EveryDrop EDR1RXD1 filter (EveryDrop Filter 1 / W10295370A) – a direct swap for the Filter 1 slot. Inside is a coconut-shell activated carbon block matched to the OEM cartridge’s dimensions and flow path, so flow rate stays where the manufacturer set it. The media is tested to NSF/ANSI 42 protocols for chlorine, taste and odor reduction, with a 200-gallon / 6-month rated service life per cartridge. The 6-pack drops the per-filter cost to $13.49 (78% below the $59.99 OEM cartridge) and holds roughly three years of water – 1,200 gallons across 36 months. Installation is a push-in fit – no tools, no adapter, no twisting; done in minutes. The rated cycle matches the OEM part – 200 gallons or 6 months – so your replacement schedule carries over unchanged. That is $4.50 per filter under the single-pack price. Scope is the NSF/ANSI 42 one – chlorine, taste and odor – the everyday complaints in dispensed water and ice.

Ships in 2-5 business days from Indiana, with free shipping on orders over $49.

What’s inside the filter

Built to the same form factor as the OEM cartridge, with a 4-stage media stack:

  • L1 · Outer pre-wrap, 5-micron — Stops sediment and rust before they load the carbon.
  • L2 · Coconut-shell carbon block — Chlorine taste & odor reduction across the full 200-gallon life — tested per NSF/ANSI 42.
  • L3 · Post-filter mesh — Keeps carbon fines out of your first glass (still flush 4 gallons to be safe).
  • L4 · NSF-grade gaskets — Push-in seat identical to OEM — no bypass, no drip.

What it reduces

Tested to NSF/ANSI 42 protocols for chlorine taste & odor reduction — the single most common refrigerator-water complaint. See our guides on chlorine taste & odor and sediment in water for what causes them and how a carbon-block filter handles both. Run 4 gallons through a new cartridge before drinking.

Questions

Is this a genuine Whirlpool / EveryDrop filter?

No — it is an independent replacement manufactured to the same form factor and tested to the same NSF/ANSI protocols. Whirlpool and EveryDrop are trademarks of Whirlpool Corp; this cartridge is a compatible replacement, not affiliated with or endorsed by Whirlpool.

Will it void my refrigerator warranty?

No. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act makes it illegal to void a warranty for using a third-party consumable. The Filter 1 bay has no chip or meter — the refrigerator cannot tell the difference.

How is this different from the Lead-Reduction (CF-1001P) version?

CF-1001 targets chlorine taste & odor (NSF/ANSI 42). If your priority is lead reduction, choose CF-1001P, which adds NSF/ANSI 53 lead-reduction testing.

How do I know the Filter 1 bay is what my refrigerator uses?

Check the fits list above, or use the Filter Finder with your model plate number. Filter 1 is the push-in bay on most Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Amana and JennAir models from 2012 onward.
