It's peak season — your filter is working overtime
What this means for your cartridge: in peak season, rinse every 2–4 weeks and expect a shorter cycle — heavy bather load and sunscreen load the pleats fast. Closing orders spike late September: the cartridge you install at closing is the one that opens clean in spring.
Make this cartridge last the whole season
Most cartridges die from pressure washing, not old age. The care routine that actually works:
- —Rinse with a garden hose at 45° — never a pressure washer
- —Rotate top-to-bottom each rinse (pleats wear unevenly)
- —Soak in cartridge cleaner every 2nd rinse — sunscreen oils clog carbon
- —Replace when pleats floss apart or the band cracks — not when PSI says so alone
